Teaching Standards and Witchcraft

Today is a rough day for me. I never want to come to work because I hate my job (only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays), and I have literal panic attacks when I wake up because I have to go. You may be thinking, “Why not just quit and move on?” Because I ethically cannot do that to these students. I am a teacher, an art teacher, and I have no creative freedom in my school. I want to teach the kids all the world has to offer so they can make educated decisions about their lives. I want them to learn life lessons from her and actually grasp the topics we discuss, but teaching them about the Goddess Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is wrong. Teaching them that nature can be a teacher is wrong. Showing them that the rain doesn't hurt you, it heals you, is wrong. Comforting them when they lose a pet is wrong. Picking them up when they fall is WRONG. The standards of teaching have gone up juristically, and the ethics, morals, and values have gone down. I can’t even talk about holidays or do any projects related to them because a parent doesn’t want their child to learn about them. These kids have the right to know them, and as they get older, they will realize that, and they will hate that society shielded them from it. This is how I feel about it. Please let me know how you feel about it. Comment below.
